The Long Bay Hotel takes one back to a time when simple, island friendliness was the rule and not the exception. Once upon a time on Antigua, life used to be slower, more laid-back, and easy going. The staff and owners at Long Bay want to recreate this feeling for you and do their best to make sure that your holiday is full of friendly island people and traditions.
The resort is located on two of Antigua’s incredible beaches (one of them with pink sand!): Long Bay Beach and Bayside. The first is a calm, clear-watered beach perfect for swimming. Bayside is perfect for snorkeling, diving or just sitting on the dock watching the undersea animals swim by.
The accommodations at Long Bay are furnished with modern, island style furniture and cheerful, tropical bedding. The rooms are complemented by the exceptional view just feet from the bed. There is nothing quite as peaceful as waking up in the morning and looking out your window at the blue of the Caribbean ocean. The Long Bay Hotel is a media-free zone, which means you won’t find television, air-conditioning, or a phone in the room, but there is free wireless internet access in the Club House and the Beach House.
There are two restaurants located at the resort. The Turtle Restaurant is located in the Club House, or main guest area, and serves breakfast and dinner. It offers an a la carte menu with a wide variety of delicious breakfast items such as omelettes, fresh fruit, etc. Dinner has a 14-day rotating 5-course menu so that you will never find the meal routine or boring. The cuisine is a mixture of island and international flavors. The other restaurant is The Terrace which is located directly on the beach. It serves lunch and light snacks. There is also the Hats Off Cocktail lounge that offers nightly entertainment and unique drinks.
There are several activities and excursions to choose from on your vacation such as: snorkeling, nature hikes, scuba diving and fishing excursions and much more. Ask the hotel for their recommended excursions, activities and tours.
