The Verandah Resort and Spa on Antigua is so named for the verandahs or porches that are a part of each of the guestrooms. With panoramic views of the turquoise ocean, cliffs, and surrounding area, you will find yourself spending more time on the verandah or balcony than you will inside the room. The rooms are lovely, though, and are decorated with a sophisticated, island-color theme and modern furniture. The bathrooms are pure luxury with his and hers sinks, white tile, and a large soaking tub.
You will not find many beaches on Antigua to equal the clear, aqua waters on Verandah’s private beach. In some ways, you will feel as if you are floating in a large pool. Of course, there is an amazing pool at the hotel, as well, just for a change of pace. For other activities on your tropical vacation, there are several non-motorized water sports, the Tranquility Spa, a fitness center and more. For a lively nightlife, check out the casino or four different bars on the property: the Tiki Bar, the Rasta Bar, the Pool Bar, or the main lounge bar. They all serve refreshing drinks and you can choose the atmosphere; whether it be romantic, lively, or relaxing.
Open to the air, but protected from the elements, the Seabreeze is the resort’s main restaurant and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the menu, one will find a large range of items to choose from. Nicole’s is a fine dining experience and serves up a Caribbean-style cuisine. The Buccaneer is casual and more family-friendly as it serves up the usual burgers, pizzas, and similar choices. All three restaurants are found in the main complex.
