This romantic hotel is a single cottage on three acres. Built at the beginning of the twentieth century, it has been restored to its former glory as a plantation-style home reminiscent of life in the Hawaiian islands over one hundred years ago. A few modern amenities have been added to enhance the vacation experience: a hot tub in a private garden, high speed Wi-Fi, and the option to have in-room massages or gourmet dinners are available.
Intimate comforts abound within the cottage. The porch has chairs for enjoying the island breeze, and the gas fireplace warms the inside on cooler nights. A fully-stocked kitchen offers fruits, coffee, and teas. There are two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and one with a larger bed, and is perfect for couples or for travelers on a family holiday. The furnishings and design motif in this darling cottage are quaint and recall a Hawaii of old.
At once more charming and affordable than most hotels, the cottage offers a multitude of amenities and personalized services. A truly mellow blend of modern and historic, the Volcano Teapot Cottage is a sweet and affordable option for travelers seeking a taste of how the Big Island used to be.
