Hotel Marcianito- Downtown Isla Mujeres
Hotel Marcianito rests in downtwon Isla Mujeres, near the busy Avenida Hidalgo and its store filled streets. Guests at Hotel Marcianito will be surrounded by local restaurants, neat boutiques and lively yet composed bars. Isla Mujeres is not the same kind of place as Cancun although they are just a bay apart. Roughly 8 miles away from Cancun, Isla Mujeres is a tranquil and peaceful place, with calmness emanating from everyone on the island. Originally a small fishing village, Isla Mujeres has blossomed into a more visitor friendly place, in part because the beautiful beaches and Caribbean waters brought outsiders to this little romantic Island. Also on the island are opportunities to swim in the same waters as tropical fish, harmless whale sharks, sea turtles and dolphins.
Hotel Marcianito is a no frills, but comfortable and clean hotel. The intimacy there is romantic, as is the Mexican exterior, which has stucco walls, colorful tiles and open air stairwells. There is a shared balcony on the top floors. The family that owns the hotel is always present and will look after you like parents.
There are 14 rooms at Hotel Marcianito and all of them are simple and intimate. There is a slight Caribbean design to the rooms, with splashes of Mexican culture in various corners of various rooms. The rooms on the second and third floor are newly constructed and thus updated.
While at Hotel Marcianito, guests will experience Isla Mujeres like a local would. Guests are situated near the busiest part of town, but still just minutes away from the famous Playa Norte Beach. Visitors to Isla Mujeres will be thrilled as they see the Mayan culture of the island first-hand. Whether bathing in the sun on the white beaches of Playa Norte or exploring the island’s cultural significance, a good time will follow.
