Charter season generally runs from the beginning of December to the end of July. Jax offers a full day charter for $850. Currently no half day charters are offered. All charters include bait, tackle, sodas, water, beer and box lunches. Jax offers top of the line equipment including, Shimano Reels up to 80.0, 6500 bait runner spinners, Rods by STAR and Shimano TLD 20’s/25’s with 20 lb. test used in sail fishing. The climate on the island is incredible. The temperature is consistently around 80 degrees, with the hottest months between June and August. Unless you are traveling during wet season, which is between October to November, expect no more than an afternoon shower or two at the most.
Jax Sports Fishing runs one charter boat, the 29 foot long Jax. It is a Seacraft boat specifically outfitted for fishing in the Caribbean islands of Mexico. Jax features modern electronics including a Furuno Sounder, GPS system and radar. The boat is also outfitted with U.S Coast Guard approved safety equipment and Satellite Phone. Captain Michael is an experienced guide with over 20 years of off shore fishing experience.
