Keen M Sportfishing charter season runs from December 1 to the end of July. This is split into two periods Winter (running from December 1 to March 15) and Spring (running from March 15 to the end of July). Winter is generally the busier season and prices are a bit higher during this period. It offers only full day charters (half day charters not currently offered) which start by 10 am in the morning and end around dark or whenever you decide you have caught enough fish! The fishing method used is called dead bait trolling where the boat will cast out eight reels with baitfish and cruise (troll) with them in tow to attract the fish. Keen M. also specializes in guided ocean fly fishing and will supply fly tackle per your request. You are provided with a wide variety of custom fishing tackle with rods supplied by Custom Rods by Dru, of Palm Beach Florida. Keen M uses TLD-20 Shimano conventional reels or Penn 6500S spinning reels with twenty pound test monofilament line.
There are two boats to choose from for your Caribbean fishing vacation. The first, and largest, is the Keen M, which is a 41 ft custom Michael Fitz fishing boat. It is outfitted the most modern electronics and safety equipment. The second choice is the “Lilly M, which is a 36 ft Vernese Express. Each boat has a crew and can accommodate up to six guests.
