Charters with Captain Larry can be half, three-quarter or full day and he’s equally comfortable instructing novices in fly or spin casting as he is guiding trophy-winning veterans. Everything you need for a successful charter including fishing gear, tackle, bait and licenses is part of your charter, except for food and beverages.
Captain Larry has two boats and chooses which one to take depending on fly or spin fishing, angler weight and predicted weather. His boats, like most flats skiffs are very specialized fishing craft. Each boat is outfitted with a poling platform over the outboard motor. From this platform, Captain Larry can pole the boat toward the fish without spooking them and his has the perfect physicality at 6'-4" to get the job done. At the right moment, he will direct anglers where to place their casts to get them closest to the fish. Then, the fight begins with the fish jumping high into the air and taking your lure or fly with it and putting on an aerial ballet that can last for an hour and more with a big fish. That’s fishing!
