St. John's Gallows Point Resort is a five-minute walk from the fine dining, specialty shops and Caribbean nightlife of Cruz Bay but a tropical haven for indulgent relaxation and holiday escapism in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The secluded aura of the resort conceals its convenient proximity to the island village.
About the only thing missing from this spectacular resort is a powdery white sand beach. While there is a beach, it is a bit rocky. Still, numerous spots to lounge around under the tropical sun can be found about the pool, on private balconies or in seaside hammocks. In addition, a reef immediately offshore allows for snorkeling directly in front of the resort. Located on the property, St. John Adventures provides concierge services, helping plan fishing, sailing and charter boat trips as well as arrange numerous watersports activities.
Accommodations consist of 50 one-bedroom suites in two varieties. The two-story upper suites have loft bedrooms and the lower suites boast roomy showers and sunken living areas. Private balconies or patios afford stunning views of the ocean and neighboring islands or the marine activities of Cruz Bay Harbor. All rooms come with air conditioning, cable TV and king beds. Unlike the complimentary welcome cocktail included with stays at many Caribbean resorts, Gallows Point supplies guests with a bottle of rum and mixers for in-room drinks. As an added bonus, guest rooms are also stocked with beach chairs and a cooler. It is difficult to tell which attracts guests to Zozo's Ristorante more – the delicious Italian cuisine or the breathtaking sunsets seen from its upstairs bar, Jax Lounge. The resort's version of room service is a general store with all the necessities for meal preparation in the suites' full kitchens.
Peering out from a spacious suite onto the early morning natural wonders of St. John, preparing for a magical day combing the streets of a quaint island village, Gallows Point Resort visitors greet the day with a relaxed vacation smile. After a sun-kissed day on the azure Caribbean waters, soaking up the tropical atmosphere, that same smile shows, reflecting the brilliance of the magical island sunset that commonly closes each day at the resort.
