Young Island offers both adventurous and relaxing activities. A network of hiking trails wind through the island, and a variety of complimentary water-sports are available, including pedaloes, snorkeling, kayaks, windsurfers, small sailboats, and a glass-bottom boat. The clear waters provide excellent diving opportunities, with several dive sites available merely 20 yards off shore. Towels, hammocks and chaise lounges are provided at the freshwater lagoon swimming pool and at the beach. Guests can cool off by swimming out to the off-shore coconut bar for a refreshing, tropical drink.
Despite being set into vibrant, lush vegetation, the twenty-nine guest cottages at Young Island all have beautiful ocean views. Guests can enjoy various views of St. Vincent, the Caribbean Sea and Bequia from private patios and excluded open-air garden showers. Some of the cottages have private plunge pools and separate sitting areas, and the Duvernette Suite has its own furnished sundeck and infinity-edge swimming pool. The cottages do not have in room communications devices, allowing guests to completely escape the stresses of the world outside the islands.
Young Island provides several packages so that guests can design their ideal vacations. The entire island can be rented for weddings, and is perfect for both newlyweds and seasoned romantics alike. Yacht excursions and day trips to dormant volcanoes complement a romantic holiday. The restaurant at Young Island is rumored to be the best out of all the hotels in St. Vincent.
